Located at the SWEECC, Maison Shanghai 2024 is renowned for incubating cutting-edge designs and leading China’s home fashion trends. Over six successful editions, it has built a solid reputation and a strong base of designer and audience support. In 2024, the Maison Shanghai will debut with a refreshed visual identity, expanded scale, upgraded curation, business models, activities, resources, and promotions. This event will shine brightly, collaborating with diverse groups including brands, designers, home buyers, industry elites, professional media, and authoritative organizations.
The show will feature seven themed sections: MOXI Healing Art Festival, Future Life, Home Life, Her Life, Design Life, Its Life, and Outdoor & Sports Life. These areas will explore the multifaceted “youth power,” setting new lifestyle trends, building a new platform for buyers, and presenting a fresh sense of youth, fashion, atmosphere, futurism, and social interaction.
Design of Designers (DOD) and Maison Essential are the two main sections of the Maison Shanghai, focusing respectively on original design and high-end home decor. Leveraging its influence, DOD has successfully incubated numerous local original design brands, providing a supportive platform for emerging Chinese designers to showcase their talents. This year, DOD will continue its philosophy of “design creates value,” inviting more brands to join, ensuring that great works are seen by more people, and supporting Chinese original design. Maison Essential will feature a curated selection of premium home decor items, stylish lighting, creative fragrances, and high-end carpets. It will offer a scenographic presentation that captures the intersection of aesthetics and lifestyle, initiating an Oriental aesthetics storm in the heart of Shanghai.
Building on its strengths, the Maison Shanghai will expand horizontally into new design materials, gifts, trendy toys, and cultural creations. Vertically, it will focus on coffee, gourmet food, outdoor activities, and pets. This integration forms a comprehensive “new channels for quality goods” hub, covering all aspects of lifestyle including “clothing, food, living, trends, pets, and entertainment.” The show aims to create a tangible new retail environment and vibrant new consumption scenarios. The Maison Design Week x Licensing Expo China (LEC) will encompass five thematic sections: ACGN (Animation, Comics, Games, Novels), Film and Media, Brands and Agents, Cultural and Art Exhibitions, and Trendy Lifestyle. The exhibition will feature lifestyle consumer goods that combine IP attributes, design aesthetics, and high quality. It aims to help designers efficiently and deeply explore collaboration opportunities with IP brands.
Aesthetics Show, the 5th REd Contemporary Design Exhibition, and the Deconstruction and Reconstruction – Furniture Materials Exhibition are collaboratively presented by the Maison Shanghai 2024 along with renowned designers, design institutions, home, lifestyle, design, and material brands, and industry associations. These exhibitions will showcase color trends, future office concepts, and innovative materials, making the Maison Shanghai 2024 a genuine hub for new design, new colors, new offices, and new materials.
Aesthetics Show will feature 12 color-themed spaces, each representing one of the 12 global color trends for 2024/2025. In the meanwhile, REd Contemporary Design Exhibition will use scenario-based displays instead of individual product displays to explore the boundaries between future office and living spaces. Deconstruction and Reconstruction – Furniture Materials Exhibition will combine furniture raw materials with installation art, defining material aesthetics from multiple perspectives.
Beyond the “design” label, Maison Shanghai will break traditional boundaries, incorporating playful elements and infusing emotional value and sensory experiences. It will launch youthful, social, and diverse themed exhibitions and exciting activities, showcasing more possibilities for lifestyles.

Integrating the premium industrial and supply chain resources from Sinoexpo, the event will also introduce The Lifestyle Show (Autumn), a new platform that caters to social interaction, emotional value, cultural resonance, and diverse life experiences. Centered around the atmosphere of “home” and “design,” it will focus on lifestyle, fashion trends, pet fashion, coffee, and gourmet food, bringing cutting-edge design resources and fresh lifestyle concepts to the public eye.
In the home and lifestyle consumption sector, the buyer economy is on the rise. The newly launched Maison Buyers Festival will feature three main sections: Products Selection Fair, Buyers Conference, and Buyers Night. These events will include matchmaking sessions, forums, and live broadcasts, all designed to enhance the supply chain and bridge information gaps in the buyer economy.
The Maison Shanghai 2024 will also focus on consumer-centric new retail insights and innovations with the New Retail Home Show. This show will incorporate new retail thinking, introduce new brands and innovative manufacturers on the supply side, and attract new online and offline buyers on the demand side, shortening the path from “product” to “consumer.” It seeks to explore a high-quality, sustainable new retail development path, creating a better life together with all participants.
